When you complete a trade through HSBC Internet Sharedealing, shares are deposited into or withdrawn directly from your CREST Personal Membership account. Settlement occurs automatically through your nominated HSBC current account, with trading undertaken on a T+5 settlement basis.

There are also a number of free services that you do not have to register for, including company share prices and market indices, along with market and company headlines.

You will need to register to access specific company share price charts, view the full content of a news story or use their free Portfolio Manager service. Portfolio Manager gives you the facility to create up to three 'model' portfolios for you to monitor the performance of shares you are interested in without having to own or buy them.
