About Hargreaves Lansdown
Hargreaves Lansdown was established in 1981 by Peter Hargreaves and Stephen Lansdown, who are still at the helm today. They carry one of the highest level of authorisation from the FSA, and as such can offer more investment services than most financial organisations.
They have placed investments for over 520,000 private clients to date, and aim to devote as much attention to you after you have invested as they do beforehand. In addition to daily updates on their website, you can expect to receive regular copies of the Investment Times, and they produce a comprehensive quarterly fund performance and discount review for clients in their Vantage service. They also offer a range of guides and their Help Desk is available during business hours to answer your queries.
In most cases they discount all of our initial commission, and retain part of the renewal commission. The income of the firm is therefore predominantly linked to the success of the investments you choose. They have every incentive to help you choose successful investments and then to keep you as a satisfied client.

About Charles Stanley
For more than 200 years, the firm that is now Charles Stanley and Company Limited has been serving the private investor - first as bankers, and later as one of the City of London's leading stockbroking houses.
The "Big Bang" stock market revolution in the 1980s led many stockbrokers to ally themselves with large domestic or international investment banks in the pursuit of institutional business.
Charles Stanley refused to follow the herd; not only maintaining its independence and private-client focus, but establishing branch offices in a number of regional centres and introducing a range of services and investment products that is specifically tailored to individual needs, that can be added to and further developed as circumstances change.
